Slowing down
"Children can teach us a lot about time. No one has told them there is a shortage of it in the modern world, so they take all the time they need to put on their shoes, make a finger painting, stare at a ladybird on a leaf. Let go and enjoy this moment with them, and you've given them something far more important than a new toy or designer outfit." (Maya Fiennes, Yoga for Real Life.)
I rush around everywhere and am constantly telling my child to hurry. It's not good, I know (sigh). So this is what I want to try to do this weekend. Slow down. And go at his pace.
