A Baby Girl

Fatherhood for me is the zenith of existence. And being the daddy to a little girl is a gift from God of inestimable value. Really-nothing else will ever be as important. I told my boy Duck that this would be the case when his little Kensington arrived. I think he summed it up aptly over at his site when he said…."I'm sitting here crying as I post this. I never knew what I was meant to do on this earth until today..."

So my boy-revel in the delightful torture of fitful sleep. Marvel at the amazing capability of Mrs. Duck to handle motherhood in ways that will humble you remarkably. Relish the days when you are a bit sleepy because you and Kensington-she curled on your chest…comforted by the rhythm of your breathing-slept on the sofa in order to let Mrs. Duck get an extra hour of uninterrupted sleep. And finally, do whatever Mrs. Duck says for at least the next year. Boy’s nights out will never be quite as fun again.

Enjoy it when Kensington learns to give you those slobbery kisses!

Get ready to do silly things that delight Kensington and cause Mrs. Duck to roll her eyes...like wearing a tutu crinoline on your head.

LFG and I send to you, Mrs. Duck and Miss Kensington-prayers and hope that your journey will be as magical as ours has been so far. Everyone-go over to Duck’s site and wish him well!

Onward-with baby upchuck on your shoulder.
ADG and LFG
